About the role

Embark on a culinary journey with this Chef Apprenticeship at Toby Carvery - Carlisle. You will be working towards a Production Chef Level 2 Apprenticeship standard over 15 months, gaining hands-on experience in preparing, cooking, and presenting food to brand standards. The role involves independent operation of kitchen equipment, emphasizing safety and efficiency. Responsibilities include team communication, contributing to team meetings, handling guest queries, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, stock rotation, and adhering to brand standards and company policies. No prior experience is required as comprehensive training will be provided through a work-based program, including face-to-face sessions and remote calls with a Lifetime Learner Coach. Functional Skills in English and maths will also be obtained if needed. Upon completion, there are opportunities for progression to higher-level apprenticeships and career advancement within Mitchells and Butlers, which operates numerous well-known restaurant and pub brands.
