About the role

This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to build a career in business development, customer engagement, and international trade. As a Customs & Business Development Apprentice, you will actively identify new business opportunities, engage with potential customers, and support marketing initiatives. Your role will focus on developing commercial skills such as lead generation and relationship building, while also gaining practical exposure to customs and logistics operations. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy interacting with people, are keen to learn about business growth, and aspire to a long-term career in a professional setting. Key responsibilities include contacting prospective customers, researching new opportunities, generating and qualifying leads, building relationships, supporting customer inquiries, updating the CRM system, and assisting with sales campaigns. You will also contribute to marketing efforts by supporting social media content creation, marketing campaigns, and promoting company services across digital channels. Furthermore, you will gain an understanding of customs clearance processes and international trade, assist with customs entries and documentation, and provide administrative support to the team. We are seeking an individual who is confident, eager to learn, organized, motivated, reliable, proactive, and a good communicator, comfortable with Microsoft Office. No prior experience is necessary as full training will be provided. Upon completion, you will receive a Level 4 Sales Executive Apprenticeship qualification, hands-on experience, and ongoing support and mentoring.
