About the role

This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to start a career in adult care at HOUSE OF LIGHT TRUST LTD. As an Apprentice Adult Support Worker, you will gain industry-recognised qualifications and valuable work experience within a supportive residential home. You will learn to provide essential support to clients, including assistance with finances, clothing, shopping, cleaning, social activities, hygiene, hobbies, and emotional well-being. The role involves working towards care plans, adhering to legislation and procedures, and understanding relevant paperwork. Successful candidates will be taught how to report incidents, maintain health and safety, and respect confidentiality, all while working as part of a dedicated team. Training will be provided by Rotherham College's Health & Social Care Skills Assessor.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE Maths & English: 1-4 (Desired), Communication skills, Customer care skills, Problem solving skills, Presentation skills, Initiative, Non judgemental, Patience, Physical fitness, Friendly and approachable. Must be over 18 due to insurance purposes.
