About the role

This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to build a career in healthcare. As an Apprentice Healthcare Support Worker, you will be involved in monitoring patients, performing basic health checks, and ensuring patients feel comfortable and supported. The role encompasses working across various settings, including mental health and end-of-life care. Key duties include supporting service users with their issues, aiding their journey back to full health, socialising, medicine management, meal planning and shopping, and supporting their goals and aspirations. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach. The apprenticeship includes a Level 2 Healthcare Support Worker qualification and a Persons BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Care, with training provided one day a week at The Training Place of Excellence.
