L4 AI & Automation Apprentice

About the role

This opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about AI, technology and automation. Working across BMT, you'll help improve business processes through AI solutions, automation and data insights while completing a Level 4 AI & Automation Practitioner apprenticeship and contributing to real projects.

Key Responsibilities include identifying repetitive processes for automation, mapping and designing efficient workflows, configuring automation solutions using platforms like Microsoft Power Automate and Zapier, exploring generative AI applications, and developing AI-powered workflows. You will also be involved in collecting, organizing, and analyzing business data, supporting the creation of reports and dashboards, and helping to improve data quality. The role involves working with different departments to understand current operations, identify inefficiencies, and recommend technology-led improvements. Additionally, you will explore opportunities to automate customer communications, streamline project processes, and investigate how AI can support customer service and technical support operations. AI Governance & Security responsibilities include following data protection policies, understanding responsible AI use, and considering data privacy and security when implementing AI solutions.

Entry requirements

• GCSEs A*-C (9-4) in English and Maths, plus 3 other subjects. Strong communication, IT, attention to detail, organization, customer care, problem-solving, analytical, and teamwork skills. Interest in AI & automation, confidence with technology, and experience with Microsoft 365, Excel, Teams, Power BI, Power Automate, or Zapier are essential. Experience in data or reporting, and an understanding of workflows are also beneficial.
