About the role

As a Chef Apprentice, you’ll work alongside our experienced kitchen team and learn all aspects of working in a busy food environment.

You’ll develop your skills in food preparation, cooking, presentation, food safety and kitchen organisation while helping us deliver the high-quality food The Cheesy Living Co. is known for.

Duties include preparing and cooking food to recipes and quality standards, learning to use professional kitchen equipment safely, preparing ingredients, assisting with food preparation during busy periods, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, following food safety procedures, learning about stock rotation and waste management, helping with deliveries, supporting the wider kitchen team, maintaining a clean workstation, following recipes and presentation standards, providing a friendly service to customers, and taking on additional responsibilities as skills develop.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above. Team working, passionate about food, reliable & punctual, keen to learn & use feedback, friendly and respectful.
