About the role
St Barnabas CE Primary School and Nursery are seeking an Early Years Apprentice to join their team. The role involves the care of young children, ensuring their educational, social, physical, emotional, health, and welfare needs are met. Duties include supporting educational activities for children aged 2-4, preparing the learning environment, assisting with trips, feeding and changing children, observing and assessing learning, developing partnerships with parents, maintaining child safety, and ensuring a clean environment. The apprenticeship includes a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner qualification, functional skills in maths and English (if required), End-Point Assessment, ERR, PLTS, and a Paediatric First Aid qualification. Upon successful completion, there is a possibility of ongoing employment.
Entry requirements
- GCSE English and Maths at grade 9-5 required. Desired skills include communication, teamwork, being non-judgmental, and patience.
