About the role

Ruislip Stars Nurseries are seeking a dedicated individual to join their team as an Early Years Apprentice. This apprenticeship offers the opportunity to study towards a Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification, with an hourly wage ranging from £8 to £11 based on age and experience. The role involves working directly with children, planning and delivering engaging activities, and supporting with school pick-ups and drop-offs. Safeguarding and child welfare are paramount, requiring adherence to all policies and procedures, and proactive communication with designated officers. The apprentice will be responsible for observing and monitoring children's development, identifying and addressing any gaps, and ensuring safe outings and cooking activities through thorough risk assessments. Key responsibilities include acting as a key worker, preparing children's records, attending parent review meetings, and maintaining a clean and stimulating environment. The role also entails undertaking domestic tasks such as snack preparation and equipment cleaning, recording accidents, and promoting a healthy lifestyle. Teamwork and participation in out-of-hours activities like training and staff meetings are essential. The apprentice will contribute to a positive team ethos and will be expected to complete all mandatory training and manage their own Continuing Professional Development (CPD) log. Liaising with parents, staff, and other professionals, and providing support for children with special needs are also key aspects of the role. The nursery is committed to ensuring children are collected on time by authorized individuals.
