About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity to begin a meaningful career in Health & Social Care as an Apprentice Care Assistant. You’ll earn while you learn, gain nationally recognised qualifications, and develop the confidence and practical skills needed to support clients in a warm and caring environment.

Duties include assisting service users with all aspects of their daily living, including physical, emotional, and spiritual care. You will pay attention to assisting service users with limited mobility or learning difficulties, closely monitor those who may be confused or have behavioural problems, and assist in the promotion of continence. You will also assist in the delivery of care for those who are dying or have a progressive illness, observe care planning needs, and complete daily records. Other responsibilities include interacting with service users during social activities, responding to the nurse call system, answering the door and telephone, reporting on the well-being of service users, and carrying out regular checks. You will also be expected to make visitors feel welcome, assist with meals, clean and maintain equipment, and ensure full privacy and dignity for service users. You will escort service users on outings and practice maximum integrity in all dealings with their personal and financial affairs.
