About the role

Support children, families and communities through fun, inclusive swimming sessions. Working alongside pool coordinators and swim teachers, you’ll learn to plan, deliver and review sessions while gaining funded swim teaching and lifeguarding qualifications. The Halstead Centre is a small, family-run swimming school, established in 2011, specialising in swimming lessons for children and adults of different ages and abilities. They operate from their own swimming pool. The training includes Level 2 Community Activator Coach Apprenticeship Standard with Swimming Specialism, Level 2 STA Award in Swim Teaching, Level 3 Award in Pool Lifeguarding (NPLQ), and other sector-specific CPDs.

  • Communication skills, Customer care skills, Analytical skills, Logical, Team working, Creative, Non judgemental, Patience, Physical fitness. Must be able to pass an NPLQ swim test.
