About the role

This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to train as an Apprentice Dispenser within a busy GP surgery. You will be responsible for preparing and dispensing repeat prescriptions under supervision, ensuring accuracy in selecting and labelling medication. Key duties include checking prescriptions against patient records, assisting patients with their medication queries, managing pharmaceutical stock, and maintaining accurate dispensing records. You will also be involved in liaising with GPs and other healthcare professionals, adhering to strict confidentiality, health and safety, and NHS guidelines. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong organisational and communication skills, and a genuine interest in healthcare. Successful completion of the apprenticeship may lead to further career progression opportunities within primary care and pharmacy services.
