About the role

Choice Support is seeking a caring and reliable Support Worker to join a dedicated team in Maidstone. You will be studying towards an Adult Care Worker apprenticeship at Level 2. This role requires a full UK driving licence, your own vehicle, and for you to be 18 or over.

As a Support Worker, you will assist adults living in individual flats with all aspects of their daily lives. This includes supporting with community-based activities, cooking, cleaning, in-house activities, shopping, and personal care. The primary aim is to help individuals maintain and develop their skills, improve their health, and achieve their ambitions as outlined in their support plans.

Your responsibilities will involve assisting with everyday tasks such as personal care, dressing, meal preparation, and maintaining clean and tidy living spaces. You will also drive to various activities, including horse riding, the gym, swimming, cinema, reflexology, shopping, and visits to an activity farm. You will assist with medication administration and maintain accurate records, with full training provided. Strong communication skills are essential as you will work with person-centred support plans and liaise with professionals, family members, and your team. Although this is a lone-working role, you will receive support from an experienced team and the active involvement of parents.
