About the role
Avondale Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Apprentice Pharmacy Assistant to join their team. This role involves dispensing medication, managing over-the-counter sales, checking prescription slips, and maintaining health and safety standards. You will also be responsible for stock rotation, using patient record systems, and data entry related to medication. Accuracy, attention to detail, and strong teamwork are essential. The apprenticeship includes liaison with healthcare professionals and timely completion of apprenticeship work. The training will involve a Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 qualification and functional skills if required. Upon successful completion, there is potential for a permanent position and progression to a Pharmacy Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship.
