About the role

This is a 12-month government-funded Level 3 Extended Diploma in Dental Nursing, offered by City & Guilds. As a Dental Nurse apprentice at Saltaire Orthodontics in Dewsbury, you will gain hands-on experience assisting dentists, sterilizing and preparing equipment, managing reception duties, and supporting the overall patient experience. Key responsibilities include providing chair-side support, handling patient queries, taking payments, booking appointments, managing patient records, and ensuring patient wellbeing. You will also be involved in managing stock and cleaning dental areas. This role requires strong communication, organizational, and customer care skills, as well as patience and a non-judgmental attitude. Please note, due to insurance restrictions, applicants must be 19 years or older. Upon successful completion, career progression opportunities include moving into management roles, or further training to become a dental therapist, hygienist, or orthodontic therapist.

Entry requirements
