About the role
This is a 12-month government-funded Level 3 Extended Diploma in Dental Nursing, delivered by City & Guilds. The apprenticeship offers hands-on experience in a dental practice, covering a range of duties including assisting dentists, sterilizing equipment, reception tasks, and supporting patient wellbeing. The role involves patient interaction, administrative duties, stock management, and ensuring a positive patient experience. Candidates must be 19 or above due to insurance restrictions. Upon completion, there are clear career progression routes into roles such as dental practice manager, dental therapist, dental hygienist, or orthodontic therapist.
Entry requirements
- GCSE Maths and English at grade 4 or above. Strong communication, organisation, customer care, problem-solving, administrative, and team-working skills are essential. Patience and a non-judgemental approach are also important.
