Early Years Practitioner Apprentice

About the role

An exciting opportunity to join the friendly team at Middleton Nursery School as an Early Years Practitioner Apprentice. You will support children's learning, care and development whilst completing a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship. Key responsibilities include supporting children's learning through planned play activities, assisting with the preparation of learning environments, and supporting children's personal, social, emotional and physical development. You will also be involved in encouraging children's communication, language and independence, supervising children during activities, and helping them develop confidence and curiosity. The role also involves observing children's progress, working closely with colleagues and parents, and maintaining high standards of hygiene, health, and safety. Safeguarding policies and procedures must be followed at all times, and inclusive practice is essential to ensure every child can achieve their potential. Participation in team meetings and training sessions is expected, along with carrying out general nursery duties.

Entry requirements

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above, communication skills, problem-solving skills, team working, creativity, patience, willingness to learn, and good time management.
