About the role
INSTANT HOME LTD is offering an apprenticeship opportunity for a Removals Porter & Warehouse Operative. This role involves delivering, installing, and collecting furniture and accessories, as well as maintaining a tidy warehouse. You will assist with loading and unloading vehicles, preparing customer orders, checking stock using a handheld device, and completing delivery/collection paperwork. This is a customer-facing role where you will represent the company. Essential requirements include GCSEs in English and Maths (grade 3 or D). Desirable skills include communication, attention to detail, organisation, customer care, problem-solving, initiative, patience, and physical fitness. The apprenticeship is based in Huntingdon and offers on-the-job training, online Health & Safety courses, and training via Cambridge Regional College. Potential career progression includes becoming a driver or moving into a senior role.
