About the role

This is a 12-month government-funded apprenticeship for a Dental Nurse, leading to a Level 3 Extended Diploma accredited by City & Guilds. The role involves providing chair-side support to dentists, sterilising and preparing equipment, and managing reception duties. You will also be responsible for dealing with patient queries, taking payments, booking appointments, and maintaining patient records. Supporting patient wellbeing and managing stock of supplies are also key aspects of the role. This apprenticeship offers a great starting point in the dental field with potential career progression into roles such as dental practice manager, dental therapist, dental hygienist, or orthodontic therapist.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above. Desired skills include strong communication, organisation, customer care, problem-solving, administrative skills, teamwork, patience, and a non-judgemental approach.
