About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a hardworking and ambitious individual to join RSK ENVIRONMENT LIMITED as an Apprentice Utility Surveyor in Hemel Hempstead. The Level 3 apprenticeship involves block release to college, leading to a geospatial qualification. You will assist Utility and Land Surveyors in data collection and surveys using various practices including PAS128 Utility Surveying with Electro-Magnetic Locating (EML), Geophysical data collection with Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), and Topographical Surveys with RTK GPS and Total Station equipment. You will learn to process data in survey software and finalize in AutoCAD, as well as engage in Measured Building and 3D scanning, and terrain modelling. Duties also include completing site documentation, learning technical knowledge for a utility surveying career, processing geophysical data, and PAS128 report writing. Additional tasks may involve transporting equipment, organizing stock, and maintaining equipment. The apprenticeship will involve working outdoors on site and in the office for software learning and CAD drawing production. Training will be provided in risk assessment, method statements, health and safety, and in-house programs.
