About the role

This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to join Edmund Bell as a Supply Chain Planning Assistant Apprentice. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day communication with UK suppliers, supporting weekly forecasting, placing purchase orders, and confirming supplier lead times. The role involves tracking inbound deliveries, chasing late orders, and flagging potential stock availability risks. You will work closely with warehouse and customer service teams to ensure accurate recording of stock receipts and maintain up-to-date ERP records. Key responsibilities include preparing and distributing various stock and forecast reports, updating planning trackers, filing documentation, and supporting the wider supply chain team. You will also investigate data discrepancies and contribute to improving reporting accuracy. This role provides exposure to purchasing, stock monitoring, reporting, and planning administration, with the opportunity to progress towards a Demand Planner or Supply Planner role.
