About the role

An exciting opportunity to become a Mechatronics Maintenance Technician Apprentice with D F J AUTOMOTIVE LTD in Preston. This role involves the application of a complex blend of skills in electrical, electronic, mechanical, fluid power, and control systems disciplines. You will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery and equipment to ensure productivity. DFJ Automotive, a family-owned business established in 1992, specializes in manufacturing heavy-duty starter motors and alternators for various industrial applications. They are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated apprentice with an interest in engineering, who can work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Full training will be provided. This is an ideal pathway for individuals seeking a career in engineering with excellent prospects for progression.

Entry requirements

• GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above in English, Maths, and Any subject. Science at Grade 4/C or above is desired. Strong communication, attention to detail, organisation, problem-solving, team working, and initiative skills are essential.
