Heavy Vehicle Service & Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship

About the role

This apprenticeship offers a comprehensive path to becoming a qualified Heavy Vehicle Technician. You will learn to inspect, service, and repair HGVs and other large commercial vehicles. The program combines hands-on experience with theoretical learning, covering routine servicing, fault diagnosis using advanced equipment, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components. You will also gain an understanding of DVSA standards and industry best practices. Training is delivered through on-the-job mentorship and block release at the Inspiro Automotive Academy in Derby, with all associated costs covered by the employer. Upon completion, you will possess the skills and knowledge for a rewarding career in the commercial vehicle industry, with opportunities for further progression.
