About the role

This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to become a Painting and Decorating Apprentice with SELECT SPRAYING & DECORATING LTD in Dewsbury. You will learn essential skills such as preparing surfaces, applying paints and coatings, and assisting with specialist spray applications. The role involves working on diverse projects, from commercial and high-end domestic to construction and bespoke sites. You will develop your ability to use tools and equipment safely and maintain a clean working environment. The apprenticeship is for 2 years, with training provided by KIRKLEES COLLEGE, attending on Wednesdays. A GCSE in Maths and English at grades 2-4 or above is essential, alongside strong communication, attention to detail, and teamwork skills. The applicant should be comfortable with physical tasks, working indoors and outdoors, and potentially at height. Upon completion, there's an opportunity to progress into a fully qualified Painter & Decorator role.
