About the role
This apprenticeship offers an exciting opportunity to join Nick Young Tractor Parts as a Supply Chain Apprentice. You will support the purchasing team with sourcing parts, managing supplier information, and maintaining stock data. This role provides hands-on experience and structured training to develop valuable commercial and procurement skills within the tractor parts industry.
Key duties include assisting with purchase orders, monitoring stock levels, communicating with suppliers, requesting and comparing quotations, liaising regarding deliveries, maintaining business systems, conducting product research, understanding supplier lead times, and identifying cost improvement opportunities. You will also work closely with warehouse, sales, and customer service teams, and carry out general administrative duties. The role requires a significant amount of computer-based work with a high level of attention to detail. Due to the workplace not being accessible by public transport, a valid driving license and own transport are essential.
