About the role

This apprenticeship offers a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Dental Nursing, a government-funded 18-month course by City & Guilds. Alongside your studies, you will gain practical experience in a dental practice, assisting dentists, sterilizing equipment, performing reception duties, and enhancing the patient experience. Key responsibilities include chairside support, maintaining high standards of patient care, confidentiality, and GDPR compliance. You will prepare surgeries, sterilize instruments, assist clinicians, update patient records, manage stock, and ensure clinical areas are clean and safe. The role requires excellent communication, teamwork, attention to detail, and organizational skills. Upon completion, career progression opportunities include Senior Dental Nurse, Lead Nurse, Treatment Coordinator, or Practice Manager roles, with potential to train as a Dental Hygienist or Therapist.

Entry requirements
