About the role

This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to become a Lead Adult Care Worker, making a real difference in people's lives. You will gain experience in both residential care home settings and domiciliary care, supporting residents with daily activities, personal care, mobility, and promoting their independence. The role involves building positive relationships, observing changes in wellbeing, and working alongside senior staff to understand essential procedures. Home care duties will involve supporting individuals in their own homes with daily tasks, personal care, meal preparation, and providing companionship. This is a hands-on role with significant responsibility, aiming to develop a motivated and compassionate individual into a skilled care professional.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE Maths/English at grade 4 or above. Strong communication, IT, attention to detail, organisational, customer care, problem-solving, administrative, analytical, logical, and teamwork skills are essential. Demonstrating initiative, being non-judgemental and patient is also key.
