About the role

This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience as a Finance Assistant within Health Innovation Yorkshire & Humber. The role involves providing essential day-to-day support to the Finance function, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial transactions, record-keeping, and reporting. Key duties include processing invoices, assisting with payment runs, managing sales invoices and debtor monitoring, processing expenses, and administering project participant payments. You will also contribute to month-end accounting, reconciliations, and supporting financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. This role is ideal for individuals with good numerical skills, attention to detail, and a desire to learn and develop within a professional finance environment. The apprenticeship provides a structured learning path with the potential for career progression upon completion.

Entry requirements

• GCSE English and Maths A*-C/9-4 or equivalent. Strong communication, attention to detail, teamwork, organisation, numeracy, and a willingness to learn are essential.
