About the role
Aubrey Park Hotel is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Commis Chef Apprentice to join their kitchen team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy cooking and aspire to develop culinary skills within the hospitality industry. The apprenticeship involves assisting with the preparation and cooking of fresh, seasonal dishes, supporting the kitchen team during service, managing stock, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety. You will learn a variety of kitchen techniques and work closely with experienced chefs to build professional cooking skills. The role is based in a stylish hotel located near St Albans and Hemel Hempstead, set within 9 acres of landscaped gardens. Applicants should be 18+ due to working hours and ideally have access to transport due to limited public transport options.
Entry requirements
- GCSE English Level 2-9, GCSE Maths Level 2-9. Strong communication, attention to detail, organisation, customer care, problem-solving, presentation, analytical, and teamwork skills are essential.
