Nursery Practitioner - Apprentice opportunity

About the role

WMC Training is seeking a dedicated Nursery Apprentice to join the professional, rewarding, and supportive team in Southbourne (PO10). This role involves supporting educators in delivering the curriculum, working towards an early years qualification with dedicated support, and assisting with the daily needs of children aged 0-5 years. Responsibilities include planning and providing age-appropriate play opportunities, ensuring the safeguarding and welfare of children, observing and assessing learning progress, building positive relationships with parents/carers, and adhering to setting policies and procedures. The apprenticeship offers career progression with the employer keen to develop staff through professional qualifications, aiming to build future business leaders within their ranks. Training will be conducted at the nursery setting alongside employment with WMC Training.

Entry requirements

• Essential / Early Years Practitioner - Level 2 / Pass. Desired / Early Years Educator - Level 3 / Pass. Communication skills, Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Team working, Creative, Initiative, Patience. Passing a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
