About the role

North Town Primary School (part of the Richard Huish Trust) is seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable Apprentice Learning Support Assistant. This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with additional learning needs to access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential. You will work closely with teachers and SEND staff, assisting pupils in the classroom and throughout the school day, helping them engage with learning, develop social skills, and overcome barriers. Key responsibilities include providing one-to-one and small group support, assisting with curriculum access, using learning resources, encouraging independence, and monitoring progress. The role also includes supporting pupils during break and lunchtime, ensuring their safety and well-being, and promoting positive play. The apprenticeship offers opportunities for career progression within the Richard Huish Trust upon completion, subject to availability.

Entry requirements

• GCSE English and Maths grade 4/C or equivalent, strong communication, attention to detail, organisation, problem-solving, teamwork, initiative, and patience.
