About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in engineering. Midland Group Training Services (MGTS) is recruiting Engineering Apprentices for various local engineering companies across diverse industries including Aerospace, Manufacturing, Food and Drink, Design, and Automotive. Apprentices will earn while they learn and gain nationally recognised qualifications. The apprenticeship covers a range of disciplines such as Multi-skilled Maintenance, Production and Project Engineering, CNC Programming, Machining, Design Engineering, Quality, Toolmaking, Fitting & Assembly, and Product Development. The role involves contributing to the design, development, manufacture, and maintenance of engineering products and systems, applying problem-solving techniques, communicating effectively, and committing to professional development. The first year is spent at MGTS in Coventry for core training, followed by day release for the remaining three years. Upon successful completion of the four-year programme, a full-time position may be offered.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English (4-9), Maths (5-9), and Science (4-9). Strong communication, attention to detail, problem-solving, logical, analytical, and team working skills are essential.
