About the role
Ruislip Stars Nurseries are seeking a dedicated individual to join their team as an Early Years Apprentice. This apprenticeship offers the opportunity to study towards an Early Years Educator apprenticeship at Level 3, with a salary ranging from £8 to £11 per hour, depending on age and experience. The role involves working directly with children aged six months to five years, planning and delivering activities, assisting with school pick-ups and drop-offs, and adhering to all safeguarding policies. Key responsibilities include observing children's development, conducting risk assessments for outings and cooking activities, attending parent review meetings, and maintaining children's records as a key worker. The apprentice will also be involved in domestic tasks within the nursery, recording accidents/incidents, promoting healthy lifestyles, and ensuring a clean and stimulating environment. The position also requires attendance at out-of-hours activities such as training and staff meetings, and supporting the development of other students. A significant part of the role involves personal and professional development, including mandatory training and managing your own CPD log. You will liaise with parents, staff, and other professionals, and provide support to children with special needs. The apprenticeship is delivered by PARAGON EDUCATION & SKILLS LIMITED and upon completion of the 18-month program, you will have obtained your Early Years Educator apprenticeship L3 qualification. There is a possibility of a full-time role being offered after successful completion.
