Pharmacy Assistant Apprenticeship

About the role

This is an apprenticeship opportunity for a Pharmacy Assistant at G H FURNESS LTD, located at Halls Pharmacy, Chopwell. The apprentice will support the day-to-day running of the pharmacy, assist customers, and work closely with the pharmacy team. The role involves supporting customers at the medicines counter, preparing and supplying prescriptions under supervision, handling stock, and using pharmacy systems. The apprentice will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship, with full training and support provided. Key requirements include a genuine interest in healthcare, strong communication and customer service skills, good attention to detail, and basic IT skills. No prior pharmacy experience is necessary. The apprenticeship is typically 15 months long and involves blended learning. The employer is a group of family-owned independent pharmacies focused on providing excellent patient care.
