About the role
Plumfield Dental Practice is seeking an Apprentice Dental Nurse to join their team in Carlisle. This is an 18-month government-funded Level 3 Extended Diploma course delivered by City & Guilds. The role involves assisting dentists, sterilising equipment, performing reception duties, and supporting patient experience. Key responsibilities include chairside support, maintaining high standards of patient care, confidentiality, and GDPR compliance, preparing surgeries, assisting clinicians, updating patient records, managing stock, and upholding patient privacy. The practice offers mixed NHS and private treatments and is committed to developing the next generation of dental nurses. Upon completion, career progression opportunities include Senior Dental Nurse, Lead Nurse, Treatment Coordinator, Practice Manager, Dental Hygienist, Dental Therapist, or Orthodontic Therapist.
