About the role
This Level 3 Youth Work Apprenticeship with Young Gloucestershire offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in supporting young people. You will undertake a one-to-one youth work support role, managing a caseload of young people who require assistance with mental health, mentoring, or other youth work interventions. The apprenticeship involves completing a Level 3 program relevant to the role, focusing on building relationships with young people and their communities, and developing confidence in working with groups and individuals. You will learn to address barriers faced by young people, support their recruitment to programs, and ensure their voices are heard in decision-making processes. The role emphasizes developing practical solutions to challenges, providing advice and guidance, and building positive relationships with young people, agencies, and the YG team. Responsibilities include developing resources, supporting mental health, maintaining service quality, reporting on activities, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring the safeguarding of young people using the Upshot system. The apprenticeship is an in-person role requiring attendance at one of their Gloucestershire locations Monday-Friday.
