About the role
This apprenticeship is ideal for individuals with prior experience in a nursery or school setting who are passionate about childcare and early years, and wish to further their careers.
The role involves providing engaging activities for children, supporting their learning and development through planning and observations, preparing and maintaining the learning environment and resources, and assisting with meal preparation. You will also support children's self-help needs, demonstrate creativity and enthusiasm, adhere to safeguarding policies, and undertake necessary training, including First Aid and any updates to standards or legal requirements. Maintaining health and hygiene standards is paramount.
Entry requirements
- GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above. Strong communication, attention to detail, organisational, problem-solving, presentation, and teamwork skills are essential. Must be creative, show initiative, be non-judgemental, and possess patience.
