About the role

This Level 6 Apprenticeship in Project Controls at AWE: Nuclear Security Technologies offers a unique opportunity to learn how project teams plan, monitor, and deliver work. You will gain hands-on experience supporting schedules, costs, risks, and reporting, enabling teams to make informed decisions. The apprenticeship is based at AWE Aldermaston and/or Burghfield, with a 9-day working fortnight. Upon completion, you could progress into a Project Controls Practitioner role, contributing to significant projects. The application process involves an online application, online testing, and an assessment centre. Applicants must be British Nationals, aged 18 or over by April 1, 2027, and willing to undergo security clearance.

Entry requirements

• 5 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above including Maths and English, plus 3 A Levels at CCC or above, T Level Pass, or BTEC Extended Diploma at MMM, preferably in a related subject such as Maths, Analytics, Business, Statistics, Economics or IT.
