About the role
This Level 6 Building Services Asset Engineering Apprenticeship at AWE (Nuclear Security Technologies) offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the safety, reliability, and availability of critical facilities. Over a 72-month program, apprentices will gain hands-on experience in maintaining, improving, and assuring building systems essential for AWE's operations. The role demands strong problem-solving, curiosity, attention to detail, and collaborative skills. Apprentices will learn directly from experienced specialists, build technical knowledge, and develop workplace confidence. Upon successful completion, there are pathways to become an Asset Engineer with opportunities in building services, facilities, infrastructure engineering, reliability engineering, or senior engineering roles. The apprenticeship follows a 9-day working fortnight and requires British nationality, being aged 18+ by August 2027, and the ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
Entry requirements
- A Levels, T Level, or BTEC in relevant engineering, construction, or STEM subjects. Must be British National and 18+ by 31 August 2027.
