About the role

This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a childcare setting with children aged 0-5. You will be working towards an Advanced Diploma in Early Years, lasting for 14 months. This role requires dedication, commitment, and punctuality. Your duties will include creating a fun, engaging, and safe environment for children, teaching within the EYFS framework, participating in indoor and outdoor activities, and supporting children with their self-care needs. You will also communicate with team members and parents, and liaise with external customers. Flexibility to meet business needs is essential, as is punctuality. Working as part of a team and using your initiative are key. You will receive online training for the first 8 weeks and will work in the nursery for the remainder of the apprenticeship, with support from a dedicated assessor and nursery staff. Upon successful completion, there are opportunities for career progression into roles such as Room Leader or management training, with potential for a full-time position.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE Maths & English grade C/4 or above, good communication skills, IT skills, attention to detail, organisation skills, customer care skills, problem-solving skills, presentation skills, administrative skills, number skills, analytical skills, logical thinking, teamwork, creativity, initiative, non-judgemental attitude, patience, and physical fitness.
