About the role

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and committed individual to undertake an Early Years Specialist Apprenticeship with PURPLE JAY LEWISHAM LIMITED. The apprenticeship is based in London and will involve working with children aged 0-5. You will be working towards an Advanced Diploma in Early Years.

The role requires creating a fun, engaging, and safe environment for children, teaching within the EYFS requirements, and participating in various indoor and outdoor activities. You will also support children with self-care needs, communicate effectively with team members and parents, and liaise with external customers.

Upon successful completion of the 14-month apprenticeship, there is potential for a full-time position and further career progression, including opportunities such as Room Leader positions, management training, or even a springboard into primary education or paediatric nursing.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE Maths & English grade C/4 or above, or Functional Skills Maths & English Level 2. Excellent communication, IT, attention to detail, organisation, customer care, problem-solving, presentation, administrative, number, analytical, logical, teamwork, creative, initiative, non-judgemental, patience, and physical fitness skills are required.
