About the role

This Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship at Forget Me Not Day Nursery in Sherborne offers a fantastic opportunity to work as a key person and part of a dedicated nursery team. The role involves providing safe, high-quality education and care for young children, meeting their individual needs. Key duties include assisting with curriculum planning based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), planning daily programs, acting as a key person to a group of children, building strong relationships with parents and carers, teaching children through appropriate play experiences, and ensuring child safety and adherence to safeguarding procedures. Apprentices will participate in team meetings, training, and must be committed to obtaining a Level 3 qualification, developing knowledge of child development, and understanding EYFS and safeguarding procedures. Essential qualities include good communication, IT skills, attention to detail, organization, problem-solving abilities, a friendly and flexible approach, and a strong team-player mentality.

Entry requirements

• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above desired
