Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship

About the role

This apprenticeship offers an opportunity to become a Teaching Assistant, working under the supervision of a lead teacher to provide additional assistance and instruction to students. The role involves supporting students on a one-to-one or small group basis, helping them understand and apply principles taught in the classroom. You will also circulate the classroom, assisting students who are struggling, and help teachers with administrative tasks such as attendance and grading. Key duties include reinforcing lessons, providing individual or small group instruction, setting up materials, and supervising students during various school activities, including class, lunch, breaks, and outings. This role is ideal for individuals with strong communication, IT, organizational, and problem-solving skills who are patient and can work effectively in a team environment.

Entry requirements

• GCSE English and Mathematics at grade 4 or above. Essential skills include communication, IT, attention to detail, organisation, problem-solving, presentation, administrative skills, numeracy, teamwork, creativity, initiative, and patience. A DBS check will be required.
