About the role
This apprenticeship is an excellent opportunity for individuals with existing experience in nursery or school settings who are passionate about childcare and early years, and are looking to advance their careers. You will be responsible for providing engaging activities that foster learning and fun for children, supporting their development through planning and observation, and preparing and maintaining the learning environment and resources. Key duties include preparing food for meals and snacks, assisting children with self-help needs, demonstrating creativity and enthusiasm, adhering to safeguarding rules, and undertaking required training such as First Aid and any updates to standards or legal requirements. Maintaining high standards of health and hygiene is paramount.
Entry requirements
- GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above. Strong communication, organisation, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. Ability to be logical, creative, take initiative, be non-judgemental, and patient.
