About the role

This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to become a Teaching Assistant supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) at Springwood Heath Primary School. You will play a vital role in assisting teachers with lesson delivery, interacting with pupils, and adapting learning activities to meet individual needs. Responsibilities include supporting ICT in learning, reinforcing key concepts, encouraging communication, promoting inclusion, and contributing to pupil assessment. You will also assist with classroom management, prepare learning materials, and liaise with parents and external professionals. The role also involves ensuring pupil safety and providing personal care when needed. The school is an inclusive mainstream primary with a strong resource provision for pupils with significant physical difficulties, offering personalized learning pathways and specialist support. Possible full-time employment is available upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.
