About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity to start your career in a hands-on Technical Apprenticeship within the Materials Laboratory team at Aggregate Industries UK Limited. Based on site, you will work alongside experienced technicians learning to sample, test, and report on the quality of sand, aggregates, and bituminous products. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical work, problem-solving, and teamwork, contributing to products that shape our infrastructure. You will gain real industry experience, a recognized qualification, and the chance to build a long-term career in a growing sector. Responsibilities include ensuring materials meet quality and safety standards, safe laboratory work, following testing procedures, hands-on sampling and testing, recording results, spotting and reporting issues, and supporting the team. You will receive coaching from experienced technicians to build knowledge and technical skills.
