About the role

Oak Tree Day Nursery is seeking a caring and enthusiastic individual to join their team as a Level 2 Early Years Apprentice. This is an excellent opportunity to start a career in childcare, gain a nationally recognised qualification, and support young children in learning, playing, and thriving in a nurturing environment. The apprentice will be involved in planning and delivering fun and educational activities, supporting children's play, contributing to their records through observation, and assisting with supervision during rest and mealtimes. They will also help maintain a safe, clean, and tidy play area and work alongside outside agencies to support children. The ideal candidate will be friendly, approachable, patient, caring, flexible, reliable, trustworthy, motivated, and possess good time-keeping skills. They should have the ability to interact positively with both children and adults and be able to work on their own initiative. This position is best suited for someone with a bubbly, outgoing personality committed to the demands of an apprenticeship. Progression to a higher-level qualification or full-time employment may be available upon successful completion.
