About the role

Whiteknights Primary School is seeking an aspiring SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team. This apprenticeship will involve supporting individual pupils and small groups with their learning, following school policies and government initiatives. Duties include assisting teachers with curriculum delivery, managing classroom discipline, supervising children using ICT, accompanying groups, providing feedback on pupil progress, and maintaining records. The role also entails preparing educational materials, undertaking administrative tasks, supervising pupils during trips and breaks, and responding to safeguarding and health and safety needs. A significant part of the role involves Lunchtime Controller duties, ensuring a safe and enjoyable lunchtime experience and monitoring pupil behavior. The apprenticeship includes attending staff training and meetings. Permanent roles may be considered upon completion.
