Early Years Assistant Apprentice

About the role

YMCA Cheshire is seeking an Early Years Assistant Apprentice to support the Room Leader and Deputy Room Leader in the day-to-day running of a room for children aged 3 months to 5-year-olds. The role involves assisting the GLO Childcare and Education team in providing a high-quality, safe, and stimulating environment, ensuring compliance with H&S, EYFS, and OFSTED legislation. Key tasks include contributing to the planning and delivery of a suitable learning program, acting as a keyworker, liaising with parents, and maintaining records. This apprenticeship offers in-house training alongside a Level 2 Apprenticeship programme delivered by Cheshire College – South & West, with potential for further training and career progression within YMCA Cheshire. A DBS check will be required.

Entry requirements

• GCSE English: 4/C (Desired), GCSE Maths: 4/C (Desired), strong communication, attention to detail, organisation skills, team working, initiative, Health and Safety knowledge, IT Skills, ability to work independently and with time management, respectful and committed attitude, understanding personality, supportive of YMCA's values.
