About the role

JTS Plumbing & Heating (Cheshunt) Limited is seeking a Gas Engineering Apprentice to join their team. This apprenticeship offers hands-on experience and training to become a qualified Gas Engineer. Responsibilities include supporting Gas Engineer operatives with gas-related work, learning about the gas industry through mentoring, and assisting with gas service and maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will possess attention to detail, practical problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team. A Level 2 Diploma in Plumbing is essential, with GCSEs in English and Maths at grade 4 being desirable. The apprenticeship involves four days per week in the workplace and one day of release training at CK Assessment & Training Limited. Upon completion, career progression opportunities include full-time employment as a domestic gas engineer, upskilling into commercial gas engineering, and specialist roles within the gas and heating industries. A driving licence is desirable but not essential.
