About the role

South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a self-motivated, hardworking, and enthusiastic individual to join their Healthcare Engineering team as an apprentice. This apprenticeship offers a pathway into an engineering career within the Estates Service, focusing on mechanical engineering. The role involves diagnosing and repairing faults on a wide range of plant and equipment, manufacturing and installing new work, carrying out planned preventative maintenance, and performing statutory inspections. The apprentice will be expected to use relevant tools and equipment correctly, communicate effectively, follow drawings and specifications, and adhere to health and safety regulations. Entry requirements

  • GCSEs in 5 subjects (including English, Maths, and Science) at grades 9-4 (A*-C). Essential skills include communication, IT, attention to detail, organization, administration, teamwork, initiative, flexibility, and the ability to work under pressure.
